Interim Director of the Office of Academic Support


Dr. Hazel C. Levy is the Interim Director for the Office of Academic Support (OAS). A member of the University of Florida faculty since 2010, she integrates more than two decades of higher-education teaching, interdisciplinary scientific and policy research, and dedicated student success leadership across the K-20 academic pipeline. She is deeply committed to holistic student achievement, serving undergraduate scholars in the UF’s TRiO SSS and UF PROMISE Programs.

Throughout her tenure at UF, Dr. Levy has championed student-centered initiatives that pair academic rigor with a welcoming environment. Working alongside faculty, advisors, and campus partners across the university, her goal is for every OAS scholar to thrive academically, personally, and professionally.

· Postdoctoral Fellowship in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology (Virology and Biophysics), Harvard Medical School (2006 – 2010)

· Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Gene Therapy Development), University of Florida College of Medicine (2005)
